Well I was born and brought up in this city so I suppose I should know.
First thing, if someone's coming to pick you up, politely ask them to be prepared for at least half an hour of wait, irrespective of when you are traveling.
Reason- The conveyor belts take anywhere from 15 minutes to half an hour to get you your check-in baggage.
You must be prepared for some rough and tumble. Don't get scared, it's just that some people tend to be very aggressive about getting off the plane first and then going and planting themselves (very firmly indeed) in front of the conveyor belt.
Advice: Let them. I know it sounds very defeatist, but I hope your self esteem is high enough to not mind others racing ahead of you to get to the conveyor belt.( of all places!) Take this time out to make calls or listen to music, while being on the look out for your baggage.
You can afford to not plan for your transport in advance.
Reason: The Delhi Airport has a fairly good pre-paid taxi service manned by some very well-behaved men.
Advice: If you can survive without an AC, take the government pre- paid cabs.
Reason: They are much cheaper than the fancier and more expensive privately managed ones.

Basics
Airports I would Review:
1 Delhi
2 Hyderabad
3 Bangalore
4 Ahmedabad
5 Mumbai
And many more as and when I visit those places.
Railway stations I would Review
1 Delhi- New Delhi and Nizamuddin
2 Hyderabad- Secunderabad and Kachiguda
3 Bangalore
4 Ahmedabad
Cities I would Review
1 Hyderabad
By 'review' I mean I would post information about everything a woman traveler to these places would need to know before getting off the plane/train.

Agenda
Now just in case you wonder how can I, the author of this blog, be pompous enough to offer advice on such a 'delicate' matter and that where do I draw my authority from. Well technically, from nowhere.
Whatever advice or reviews I will offer will come from my experience as a frequent traveler in India.
So I suggest you be ready with a pinch of salt.
I will try and cover major cities and their airports first and then go on to more 'touristy' spots.
